Your journey usually starts in Bergen city center. Bryggen, famed for its historic wooden houses and bustling atmosphere, serves as the main transportation hub. From here, several convenient options are available for getting to the cable car entrance but its best and cheapest to go from byparken with the Bergen Bybanen Light rail. a one way 60 minute tcket costs 47Kr and its only 4 stops, around 10 minutes.
Public Transportation: Easy and Convenient
Taking public transport is among the most straightforward ways to reach Mount Ulriken. You can hop on the light rail (Bybanen) at the main city ByParken station. The ride to the "Ulriken" station takes around 10 minutes. In fact, the Bybanen operates every 5 minutes during peak times, making it a reliable choice. Once you disembark, it is just a short 5-minute walk to the cable car entrance.
The stop you need is the 4th stop from the city, at Haukeland Sykkehus ( the main Hospital ) and take the lift to the top floor. Turn left and follow the road up and around the back of the hospital. The entrance is on the left around 500m around the bend.

Walking: A Scenic Route
