Mount Fløyen
Fløyen is one of the most popular things to do in Bergen. With its amazing views of Bergen and the surrounding areas and its pleasant walk down ( Should you choose too ) , Fløyen should be on every visitors list.
The cable car up takes around 4-8 minutes to get to the top, and should you choose to walk down, its a pleasant 45m walk of around 3km.
Once at the top, not only will you find some incredible views, you will also find Fløirestauranten restaurant, Fløistuen shop & café, Skomakerstuen café, the Cone accommodation, a large playground, an exciting troll forest, goats, and not least a large and varied hiking area.
It is fully wheelchair accessible and also has washroom facilities at the top.
Some days it can be cloudy so not so much to see but its still worth the visit just for the waffles they sell at the top.
Location
Fløibanen can be found at Vetrlidsallmenningen 23A, and the funicular takes you up to Mount Fløyen.
The entrance to the cable car is situated right in the city, a 5 minute walk up from the Fish Market.
Just head to the Fiske Target, and the big white building. If you face the big white building and look to your right you will see a small newsagent and a crossing. Head to the crossing, walk over and walk up the right side of the beautiful old building called Kjøttbasaren, image below , and you will see at the top of the street the entrance to the cable car to take you up.

Adults NOK 180 and children NOK 85 (no senior discount)
Bergen Card holders: Adults 90.- and children: 45.- (no senior discount)
Winter prices 1 Oct. - 31 Dec 2024:
Adult: NOK 130, Child: NOK 65. Senior: NOK 95
Bergen Card holders: Adult: NOK 65, child: NOK 35 (no senior discount)

Fløibanen runs every 15 minutes. There will be extra departures directly to Fløyen during popular travel times. Before 10:00 and after 19:00 they have departures every whole and half hour.
